Overview
Street trees are one of a city’s most important assets, defining the character and enhancing liveability of our neighbourhoods. And with all the additional time spent at home during the pandemic, communities are placing more and more value on their street trees and the benefits they bring.
Situation
In response to increasing community interest in street trees, Strathfield Council introduced new street tree planting, care and maintenance services on behalf of residents.
The launch of the service program brought Deputy Mayor Matthew Blackmore to the program’s inaugural work site to join the pre-start discussion with our team.
