Client: Moreland City Council
Project: Cyclic Street Tree Pruning
Summit Open Space Services have worked throughout the streets of Fawkner in the City of Moreland, Victoria, undertaking street tree maintenance. Summit averaged around 80 street trees a day pruned and chipped, with many of the locals coming out to say hello and to appreciate the works being undertaken.
The streets are looking more open and the street signs are more visible. Pedestrians can enjoy the trees without being hindered on their walk, and cars can safely drive through the suburb.
A common street tree is the Callistemon, and it’s shown below being pruned to look beautiful and act as shade without hindering passers by.
On this project, as with others, the Summit team provide completion reports to our clients with before and after information for best practice tree works.
