Good Arboriculture means clever ground works.
These beautiful Jacarandas were causing damage to retaining walls and house foundations.
Rather than removing the trees to prevent damage, the Summit team under the guidance from our AQF5 Arborist installed root barrier to stop the problem and retain the trees.
We utilised a trenching attachment on the skid steer loader to trench 600mm deep by 150mm wide to cut all roots and install root barrier before backfilling and releveling the soil.
The trenching was done in close proximity to underground services which were located and potholed to ensure we were safe to trench.
